That House V2.0

This is an updated version and a complete overhaul of the game That House, containing its translation I did, Ma Maison.

The game is in pure JS, and should work on any up-to-date browser. I tested it on Firefox on a Mac, and know for sure it works there.

Hint: if you're stuck, just know there are some times you need to use the same command multiple times. For bugfixes, don't hesitate to contact me!

What is That House?

That House is a text-adventure developped in pure JavaScript. No plugins, no frameworks. Its themes are death, how we cope with it, as well as remembrance and the past.

The story is recursive: the same scenes are played out repeatedly, each time with something new, either in terms of content or details about the story, or in finding a solution to progress. That House offers:

• A rich scenario in an exploratory narrative space at your disposal
• A recursive story with new elements in each loop
• A personal interpretation of death and its acceptance
• Animations that help interact with the elements
• The option to switch between languages (English and French)
• References to works such as Midnight Mass, the album The Dark Pool by Australian band Thornhill, and the album Pain Remains by American band Lorna Shore.

Qu'est-ce que Cette Maison?

Cette Maison est une aventure textuelle développée en pure JavaScript. Ce jeu a pour thème la mort et son acceptation, ainsi que les souvenirs et le passé.

L'histoire est récursive : on y joue les mêmes scènes à plusieurs reprises, chaque fois avec quelque chose de nouveau, soit en contenu ou en précisions sur l'histoire, soit en solution pour avancer. Cette Maison propose :

• Un scénario riche dans un espace narratif explorable à votre guise
• Une histoire récursive avec des nouveautés à chaque boucle
• Une interprétation personnelle de la mort et de son acceptation
